What Florida condo registration statuses mean (Approved, Acknowledged, Recorded, Delinquent)

Every association in this directory shows a DBPR registration status. These are administrative labels about the association’s paperwork with the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation — not judgments about the building.

Primary status

  • Approved — DBPR reviewed and approved the association’s registration.
  • Acknowledged — DBPR acknowledged the association’s registration filing.

Secondary status

  • Recorded — the association’s registration is on file and current with DBPR.
  • Delinquent — DBPR’s term for a lapsed or late annual registration/renewal filing. This is a routine administrative status. It is not a disciplinary action, not a safety or structural finding, and not an indication of any problem with the building. Associations commonly move in and out of this status as paperwork is filed.
